Found this useful image on a free website which shows the motion of a bird in forward flight. Thought it would be perfect to use as reference for keyframes when animating myself.
Whilst searching the internet for useful secondary research to support my AA assignment, i came across this website that showed, in detail, the motion range of Dogs and Cats. Here it is. Website used: http://cal.vet.upenn.edu/projects/saortho/appendix_b/appb.htm Having a lot of time to observe the birds in the park, i took a few videos, including a slow motion video which i caught at a perfect point unexpectedly as other birds landed next to the one i was filming. this was so awesome! After spending a lot of time relaxing in the park in the beaming sun. I had the opportunity to observe people with their pets. Without being awkward i did manage to take some videos. Decided to use a dog for my quadreped as it was the easiest thing i could find. Got my girlfriend to film her dog walking. Here is the video When i was given the AA assignment, my mind quite literally went straight for humming birds. They have one of the most intricate and majestic movement patterns which can only be seen fully in slow motion. Found this video to research how they move. |
